Adults with average math skills and NO teaching experience CAN be trained to teach elementary math, if they are provided with adequate math problems that were designed by expert teachers.
Our volunteer teachers are trained to be hosts rather than lecturers. They provide context and ask a lot of questions, without setting obvious goals. Their challenge is to keep the discussion between the kids lively without letting it get out of hand.

Training
We provide training for volunteer teachers before and during their engagement.
For remote areas, the ultimate goal is to find long-term teachers locally and to train them in design of problems suitable for this method, so that math education can go on in a sustainable way, without us and regardless of resources.
