We are always in need of volunteers
STUDENTS * PROFESSIONALS * ADULTS FROM LOCAL COMMUNITIES
It's a rewarding experience
In addition to personal satisfaction with helping the world's most marginalized children, you will be rewarded with a different world view and a better understanding of economics and politics of inequalities than what the life in your own country affords. Some of you will become leaders in your own communities and use that knowledge to make a difference.
Apply to help us with curriculum design
If you love solving and making up interesting math problems, you will enjoy helping us design our curriculum for specific groups of kids in remote areas and emergencies.
We will teach you how to design multiple-age math problems using our library of problems and materials available on Internet. We can also teach you how to develop solution guidelines. Any amount of involvement will be helpful. Just fill out the CONTACT form indicating your interest and availability. |
Apply to teach LMM (in the future)
As we expand, we will take volunteers outside of host countries to teach LMM.
If you would like to volunteer for us for at least a month, preferably longer, please:
Check the PROJECTS page to see which projects, if any, can use a volunteer teacher.
Fill out the CONTACT form indicating your interest and availability.
We will then contact you with details and, if the match is good, set up the scope and objectives of your post, and train you.
Costs for international volunteers
We encourage you to apply for funding from your university
OR Run a fundraiser on one of the crowd funding platforms: |
Don't forget to promote it in your circle of friends! And remember: fundraising is an essential part of non-profit work experience, especially important if you are considering a humanitarian career. What we provide
You will have full program support from our local NGO partners, but travel and housing arrangements are on you. You will be expected to cover:
- costs of travel to/from the post location - room & board - all other costs for the duration of your post. We will help you figure out the housing, local logistics, estimate the total cost, and provide you with the travel check list (vaccinations, insurance, country/culture primer, etc). Those who can rough it out and figure their way out in all situations will do well! |
Our long-term recruitment plans
We are working on establishing formal recruiting schemes with various local universities so that their students can earn credits, apply for funding, and eventually, conduct research for senior or post-graduate thesis.
