PROBLEM
Children in remote and disaster areas and in refugee camps have limited or no access to math teachers.
- They cannot travel too far from home/camp due to poverty, danger, or other issues.
- They are too exhausted, hungry or stressed out to concentrate.
- Many miss class because they have to work to contribute to family survival.
- Studying at home/camp is difficult when there is no space or even light, so what they learn in school is all they got.
Shelter, sanitation, sustenance and safety are top priorities for relief organizations trying to make a difference in the Last Mile & Emergencies. Few resources are left for hiring and keeping qualified math teachers to teach math past the basic numeracy.

WE CAN SOLVE IT!
Our informal program of math for the kids of mixed ages is taught by local volunteers, works within existing limitations at the location and provides quality math beyond basic numeracy.
